Organic Coffee
is grown without artificial fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides,
protecting the health of the farmers and the environment. Many of the
coffee-growing regions of the world are found in countries where there is
little or no regulation of toxic chemicals. These are typically used on
conventionally-farmed coffee, subjecting workers and their families to a
host of short- and long-term health problems, and adding toxic elements to
the soil and water of the region. |
